CFC Youth-Education provided mammals activities for many children during Lake County Forest Preserve’s FredFest, held at the Fox River Preserve on August 20. Children and their parents visited about the mammal pelts, put together a life size deer skeleton, and made mammal tracks with clay. -photos by Bob Lee

Survey the area for late nesters and early migrants with Barrington area naturalist Wendy Paulson on Thursday, August 25 @ 3:30 pm at Baker’s Lake (parking lot on Highland Ave. south of Hillside Ave.) Walks are free and open to the public though spaces are limited and RSVP’s are required.
