CFC's Semiannual Native Plant Sales
Each Spring and Fall, Citizens for Conservation hosts a native plant sale to encourage planting native species in the area. Our database of native plants holds pertinent information for planting in this area that can be accessed during off-sale times for your reference.
2017 Spring Plant Sale: May 5, 6 and 7
Pre-order pick up and Members Only Sale: May 5 from 11AM - 6PM
Public Sale May 6 and 7, from 9AM - 3PM
The sale and pre-order pick-up will be at the Good Shepherd Hospital Barns area, directly across the street from the CFC office. Our Spring sale May 6 and 7, 2017 is our largest, where we offer hundreds of species of native forbs, ferns, trees, shrubs, and woodland species. In 2016 our Spring Sale resulted in over 16,000 species being sold and planted in the surrounding area. Since this year marks the 21st year of CFC plant sales, we're hoping to sell 20,000 individual plants.
Tree & Shrub Sale
Autumn is an ideal time to plant shrubs and trees. Cool weather allows woody plants to establish roots in their new location before spring rains and summer heat stimulate new growth.
