It is with great sorrow that Citizens for Conservation announces the passing of Tom Vanderpoel, head of restoration for CFC. He died Tuesday, August 8 in Barrington. Citizens for Conservation’s Habitat Corridors project encourages and assists local property owners in becoming more earth friendly in landscaping choices and maintenance practices. Volunteers work on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 – 11 a.m. Summer activities include cutting, digging or pulling non-native plants. Meet at CFC’s office, 459 W.
