BGI – Brushcutting at CFC Saturday January 12, 9-11a.m.

Join us for the first event in our 2019 BGI Explore and Restore series – brushcutting at CFC HQ. All ages are welcome.

This event will be held at CRAFTSBURY – which means all volunteer hours will apply towards CFC stewardship hours and earn ICECF grant dollars. So please consider coming out to help and join our volunteers along with those from partner conservation groups and the community. It will be a buckthorn burning party!

At the end of the workday there will be lunch for all volunteers. If you would like, please bring something to share. Soup, salads, fruit, desserts, etc. are always welcomed.

Work side-by-side with knowledgeable volunteer stewards and staff from Citizens for Conservation, Audubon Great Lakes, Friends of the Forest Preserves, Forest Preserves of Cook County, and Lake County Forest Preserves. Meet at CFC HQ at 459 W. Hwy. 22 in Lake Barrington, across the street from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and bring work gloves if you have them.
