It is with great sorrow that Citizens for Conservation announces the passing of Tom Vanderpoel, head of restoration for CFC. He died Tuesday, August 8 in Barrington. Barrington Greenway Initiative continues progress

Our recent collaborative efforts include: 3,000 Pennsylvania sedges planted at Cuba Road in the recently restored oak savanna. CFC volunteers, Lake County Forest Preserve and Barrington Middle School—Prairie Campus Planet Heroes Conservation Club worked together to plant the sedges.
