Topic: Current environmental pressures impact on local biodiversity

Speaker: Michael Jeffords, Coauthor of Exploring Nature in Illinois: A Field Guide to the Prairie State

Michael will discuss how current pressures affect the biodiversity of plants, pollinators and other wildlife that are interdependent and on which we depend. Michael is the retired education/outreach director for the Prairie Research Institute, Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS) at the University of Illinois and was staff photographer for The Illinois Steward magazine.

  • Program is 10:00am -11:30am. Come for coffee, conversation and handouts at 9:30am. CFC members attend for FREE as a benefit of membership. Program fee is $10 for non-members.

 

  • Program will be held at the Barrington Village Hall, 200 South Hough Street, Barrington, IL. Convenient free parking available in lot behind the building and surrounding streets.
