BGI – Brushcutting at Craftsbury

February 8, 2020 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Great winter activity – get outside and cut invasive brush and buckthorn to open up this remnant sedge meadow at Craftsbury Preserve. Work along side and learn from expert naturalists.  Enjoy bonfires and helping nature with like-minded volunteers.

Doing More Together! This is a collaborative BGI (Barrington Greenway Initative) event co-sponsored by CFC;  the Forest Preserves of Lake, Cook and McHenry Counties; Great Lake Audubon; Friends of the Forest Preserves; and Bobolink Foundation.

Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes or boots, and bring work gloves.  Bring something to drink to keep hydrated. Snacks provided. Meet at the CFC Farmhouse to carpool.

Team leads and guidance provided so no experience is necessary. Tools are provided. You do not need to register or give us advance notice unless you are bringing a group more than 10. Those under 16 years of age require written parental permission.
