Wednesday (4/27) – Grassy Lake – 9AM – 11AM

As the brush season continues to wind down, we are planning to start offering “Restoration 102” workdays around SW Lake County on Wednesdays. If you are interested in learning the advanced techniques needed to restore ecosystem health, then these workdays are for you! The focus will be on plant identification, restoration management decisions, selective herbicide treatment, and collection of rare and difficult seed.

For tomorrow, we are starting off with spraying Reed Canary Grass out at Grassy Lake. This is a critical task to any wetland restoration and one we can never have enough help on. To participate, you will have needed to go through the Lake County Training (please reach out if you have questions about this). For folks without the training, we will continue to push back the small stems and get the far east bluffs cleaned up for whenever the growing season finally starts!
