Witness the Wonder of Migration: Guided Bird Walks with Local Naturalists
View the schedule of 2026 Spring Bird Hikes.
Join Barrington naturalists Wendy Paulson, Barb Laughlin-Karon, and Laura Simpson for a series of guided walks that celebrate the extraordinary journey of migratory birds through our region. As you explore local natural areas, you’ll sharpen your observation skills, connect more deeply with the land, and learn how bird migration reflects the health and resilience of our ecosystems.
These walks are free and open to the public, but space is limited—registration is required.
Please bring binoculars, dress for the weather, and bring insect repellent if desired. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just curious about the creatures passing overhead, all are welcome to take part in this uplifting experience rooted in Citizens for Conservation’s mission of saving living space for living things.
Registration required: RSVP to Susan Baert at [email protected] or 847-532-5764. Be sure to include name, email address, and best contact number.
