August 6, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at CFC Headquarters
Join Citizens for Conservation for a butterfly tour at Flint Creek Savanna. We will discuss the life cycle of butterflies, butterflies we may see, and look for butterflies as we walk the trail. Each student will receive milkweed seeds to plant and a caterpillar to take home and release when it emerges from its chrysalis. Children will also learn about the differences between butterflies and moths and complete a craft.
Class is open to children ages 5-12 years old. Parents are welcome to attend. CFC members are free; non-members pay $5 for the first child and $1 for each additional child. Citizens for Conservation is located at 459 West Highway 22 in Barrington (across from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital).
