Learn about nature all around you. Join CFC’s Summer Camp!

Hands-on experiences, fund, learning, crafts, and new friends. We offer age-appropriate activities in small groups with a high adult-to-camper ratio. Two age-specific camps are offered each June.

Kids will be wowed by exploring prairie, wetland, and savanna habitats while learning about native flowers, butterflies, birds, insects, mammals, aquatic creatures and more. Memories that will last a lifetime. Great fun while learning about the importance of our natural world and what each person can do to help.

Junior Naturalist Camp

Ages 5-7  |  Limit of 12 campers

June 10-14, 2024

9:30-12:00 | Monday to Friday

Location: CFC Farmhouse

459 W. Hwy 22, Barrington

Across from Good Shepherd Hospital

Cost: $100 a week for members and $150 for non-members (per week, per child).

Register for Junior Naturalist I Camp

Our Junior Naturalist I camp is for children ages 5 to 7. Over the course of the week, campers engage in a variety of hands-on activities to learn about birds, insects, plants, water creatures, and more. Campers gain firsthand experience with various ecological concepts right here in Barrington while exploring. Campers have the chance to go on daily hikes around our prairies, wetlands, and savannas.

Note: All activities will be conducted outdoors, except for bathroom breaks. Children should bring their own snacks and water bottle. A refill location is available.

Junior Naturalist II camp is for campers ages 8 to 10. Children learn about nature’s food chain, energy, biodiversity found right here in the Barrington area. Each day of the week, campers learn about a different theme through various activities. The campers learn about citizen scientist activities and how we can all learn more at home.
