Join Us in Restoring & Protecting Our Natural Lands
At Citizens for Conservation, community-led conservation is at the heart of everything we do. Every acre restored, every native seed shared, and every student who steps onto the prairie is made possible by people like you—neighbors, volunteers, and supporters who care deeply about the land we all share.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re continuing our work to restore vital habitats, protect wildlife, and connect people of all ages to the natural world. Your year-end gift helps sustain this mission and fuels the future of programs like 4th Graders on the Prairie, regional seed sharing, and ongoing restoration at our preserves.
If CFC has inspired you—through a walk in the prairie, a volunteer day, or simply knowing these natural spaces are protected—we hope you’ll consider making a tax-deductible donation this season. Every contribution, no matter the size, strengthens the grassroots conservation movement we’re building together.
💛 Make your gift today and help us restore and protect our natural lands for generations to come.

DONATION ALTERNATIVES*
- Donor Advised Funds – Contribute using this flexible giving option to a 501(c)(3). The IRS allows for multi-year pledges and recurring gifts to be made through a Donor Advised Fund.
- Securities – Donate stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that can provide significant tax benefits
- Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) – Are you age-eligible (at least 70.5 years old) to make a QCD? If so, you can take advantage of donating up to $100,000 from certain Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA). A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from an IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. A QCD can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions for the year, as long as certain rules are met. In addition to the benefits of giving to a charity, a QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income. A lower taxable income may reduce the impact to certain tax credits and deductions, including Social Security and Medicare. Donating from an IRA may minimize income and estate taxes and reduce other expenses like Medicare premiums driven by the magnitude of an Adjusted Gross Income.
- Real Estate – Donate land to protect nature and save on taxes.
- Life Insurance Policies – Name CFC as a beneficiary, which may save on estate taxes.
- Wills or Trusts – Designate a gift in your estate plan.
- Grants – Recommend opportunities for CFC to apply for grants and foundation-awarded funds.
- Cy Pres Awards – Recommend CFC as the qualified charitable organization for the distribution of money from a class action settlement.
