Our efforts build on decades of positive ecological results that provide benefits to our communities, people, wildlife, and water and air improvements. We emphasize volunteerism to maximize the revenue devoted to CFC program efforts.

Please consider making a donation to support community conservation. Financial support makes our work possible and invests in the future.

There are many ways to contribute to our mission, depending on personal preferences.

DONATION ALTERNATIVES*

  • Donor Advised Funds – Contribute using this flexible giving option to a 501(c)(3). The IRS allows for multi-year pledges and recurring gifts to be made through a Donor Advised Fund.
  • Securities – Donate stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that can provide significant tax benefits
  • Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) – Are you age-eligible (at least 70.5 years old) to make a QCD? If so, you can take advantage of donating up to $100,000 from certain Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA). A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from an IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. A QCD can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions for the year, as long as certain rules are met. In addition to the benefits of giving to a charity, a QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income. A lower taxable income may reduce the impact to certain tax credits and deductions, including Social Security and Medicare. Donating from an IRA may minimize income and estate taxes and reduce other expenses like Medicare premiums driven by the magnitude of an Adjusted Gross Income.
  • Real Estate – Donate land to protect nature and save on taxes.
  • Life Insurance Policies – Name CFC as a beneficiary, which may save on estate taxes.
  • Wills or Trusts – Designate a gift in your estate plan.
  • Grants – Recommend opportunities for CFC to apply for grants and foundation-awarded funds.
  • Cy Pres Awards – Recommend CFC as the qualified charitable organization for the distribution of money from a class action settlement.
